Remove “Unauthorized Changes Blocked” NotificationsĪlthough controlled folder access prevents unauthorized changes to folders from unwanted programs (for example, viruses), it can also block certain valid applications that modify folders. Thus, notifications appear when access to controlled folders is enabled. These notifications inform users that Windows Defender Controlled Folder Access has blocked an application that is modifying a folder. Some users may notice “Unauthorized Changes Blocked” notifications in the lower-right corner of the Windows 10 desktop.
